2009 Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival

Julie Boileau Foundation
and the
Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation
For a second year in a row, CelebsAuctions.com brought together in a joint venture, celebrities from the Hot Air Balloon Festival Gatineau 2009. Performing artists (main stage and other stages) were invited to donate personal and promotional items for a silent auction to benefit the Julie Boileau Foundation and the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Partners in this fundraising Events are proud that they have reached their goal as collaboration as increase in every way. This year, 20 artists (100% more) such as Kenny Rogers, Marie-Mai, Eric Lapointe, Maxime Proulx, Alain Choquette, Michele Richard, etc. participated as well as 8 bands (100% more) Chairman George, Tractor Jack, Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo and others, 12 athletes (Christian Savoie, Jessen Paulin, Corey St. Clair, etc.), 2 Outaouais artists (Jean-Yves Guindon and Hélène Denis) and 17 other collaborators (up 325%) Maison de la Culture de Gatineau, Casino Lac Lemay, Recherché Concept Coiffure, Thibault demolition collaborated in the 60 items/events that were offered for auction in different categories such as stage dress, video clothing, autographed shirts, concert tickets, meet and greet and many other.
1555 fans, collectors and supporters, mainly from Canada (Rockliffe, Ottawa, Gatineau, Outremont, Mont-Royal, etc.) have succeeded on the site from September 4th to the 13th to take part in the silent auction event. 50.7% (788) Francophone and 49.3% (767) Anglophone navigators animated 15 272 web site pages (9.82 pages / visitor compared to 8.23 last year). The CelebsAuctions.com site has received 61% of new visitors compared to last year.
A total of 38 bidders have wagered and bided again for a total of 274 bets as the fundraising event recorded 24 winners from the National Capital Region and Orleans which totalled 3,350 (up 62%) of sales related to the silent auction. A donation of 2,840$ (80$) will be attributed to the Julie Boileau Foundation and the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.
